Nestled behind the sand dunes in Papamoa, Bay of Plenty this beautiful two-story home built by Horizon Homes looks out to a vista of the ever-changing coastline. The client brief was an industrial feel juxtaposed with softer coastal cape cod elements and with this in mind the project was a real collaboration between the client and Yellowfox designer Olivia Ellis. The open plan living on the first floor captures the stunning coastal views and is full of natural light with its expanse of sliding doors and skylights. Dark cabinetry and the painted feature wall in Resene Element above the fireplace connect the exterior and provides a nice contrast against the light engineered timber floors. The kitchen and scullery were designed and manufactured by HK Kitchens and have benchtops in Silestone Royal reef which complement the cabinetry and the Prime Baroque timber accent that softens the overall look.

Bremworth loop wool carpet in the bedrooms and media room brings warmth and texture alongside the polished concrete floor. Dramatic custom vinyl wallpaper from Materialised paired with Resene Double Masala creates a moody media space that is relaxing yet functional. The stunning patterned Mina Grafton tiles from Tile Warehouse are dreamy and bring the ensuite to life alongside the St Michel Vanities.
